Kindergarten Announcements
ELA
We started our Benchmark curriculum this week by learning to identify the main idea and the supporting details in a nonfiction text.
Math
Students continued to develop counting concepts and skills while connecting quantities to the spoken word. They also learned to count and compare up to 10 objects and know the number remains the same no matter how it is arranged.
Writing
We learned and practiced the writing process of “think, picture, say, sketch and write”.
P2: Purpose
People who possess a sense of purpose believe that they were put on earth for a reason. Kindergarten discussed that we can find purpose through our jobs and had fun sharing what we want to be someday.
Science
We began our weather watchers unit this week and learned that it gets warmer in the afternoon and cooler in the morning and evening.
Social Studies:
Students explored their sense of self by discussing different roles they have and things they like about themselves
Hands On Fun
We made pumpkins by tearing paper and gluing.
