Math
Students are learning to make and break apart numbers to 9. They made designs with pattern blocks and counted how many of each pattern block they used.
Writing
Students continued with their Personal Narratives and learned to write about feelings.
Social Studies
We learned the difference between “goods” and “services” this week and made a list of wants for each category. We also finished our economics vocabulary book.
Science
Force Olympics: This week, students learned a key idea about forces: how pushes can change the direction and speed of an object’s movement. We learned how some mountain towns in danger of landslides can build structures to protect themselves from falling rocks. Students designed and tested their own solutions to re-direct falling boulders away from their town and toward a waiting dump truck.
P2: Love
Love is all around us but you may have to look a little closer to find it. Your friendships are a great way to experience love. You care for your friends and look out for them., always wanting them to be happy. Your friends show love to you in the same way.
